# SlimByte vs Ayos

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ayos at every 3 days against SlimByte's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SlimByte sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Ayos sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SlimByte ships an update every 5 months, Ayos every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
