# Comic Book Maker vs Comic AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Comic AI at 100% against Comic Book Maker's 61%. Comic AI also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ads (none vs shown). Comic Book Maker's advantage is ratings volume (101 vs 9). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comic Book Maker sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Comic AI sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Comic AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comic Book Maker has 101 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Comic Book Maker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Comic AI's.

Comic Book Maker ships an update fortnightly, Comic AI every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
