# Dolphin Emulator vs Remote Gamepad

The clearest difference is price: Dolphin Emulator at Free against Remote Gamepad's $3.99. Dolphin Emulator also leads on rating (2.3 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (87 vs 1). Remote Gamepad's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (40% vs 19%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Dolphin Emulator is free to download; Remote Gamepad costs $3.99 up front. Dolphin Emulator sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Remote Gamepad asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dolphin Emulator holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dolphin Emulator has 87 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Dolphin Emulator's written reviews are positive against 40% of Remote Gamepad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
