# AwarenessNote vs SelfSpell

The clearest difference is update cadence: SelfSpell at every 8 days against AwarenessNote's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AwarenessNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SelfSpell sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AwarenessNote ships an update every 3 weeks, SelfSpell every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
