# Trace Drawing Projector vs AR Draw

The clearest difference is rating: AR Draw at 4.5 against Trace Drawing Projector's 3.9. AR Draw also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Trace Drawing Projector's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace Drawing Projector sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and AR Draw sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR Draw holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Trace Drawing Projector's written reviews are positive against 97% of AR Draw's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trace Drawing Projector ships an update weekly, AR Draw every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
