# NextShift vs SynapX

The clearest difference is update cadence: SynapX at every 4 days against NextShift's every 2 weeks. SynapX also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NextShift sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and SynapX sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NextShift ships an update every 2 weeks, SynapX every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
