# PDF vs File Transfer™

The clearest difference is update cadence: File Transfer™ at every 4 days against PDF's every 2 weeks. File Transfer™ also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and File Transfer™ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF ships an update every 2 weeks, File Transfer™ every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
