# Akord vs TaskTimer

The clearest difference is ads: Akord at none against TaskTimer's shown. Akord also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). TaskTimer's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Akord sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and TaskTimer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Akord ships an update every 5 weeks, TaskTimer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
