# Daily Self Improvement vs Devmaxx

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Daily Self Improvement at 80% against Devmaxx's 18%. Daily Self Improvement also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). Devmaxx's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (540 vs 18). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Self Improvement sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Devmaxx sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Devmaxx holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Devmaxx has 540 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Daily Self Improvement's written reviews are positive against 18% of Devmaxx's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daily Self Improvement ships an update every 5 days, Devmaxx every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
