# Foxtale vs Somapy

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Foxtale at 2.6K against Somapy's 1. Foxtale also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Foxtale sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Somapy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Foxtale against 5.0 for Somapy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Foxtale has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Foxtale ships an update weekly, Somapy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
