# Boxing Interval Timer vs Gymnacia

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gymnacia at free against Boxing Interval Timer's free with in-app purchases. Gymnacia also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.2). Boxing Interval Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boxing Interval Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.59 per 7 days and Gymnacia sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Boxing Interval Timer against 5.0 for Gymnacia. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively.

Boxing Interval Timer ships an update every 6 days, Gymnacia every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
