# Galatoons vs A Story

The clearest difference is ads: Galatoons at none against A Story's shown. Galatoons also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Galatoons sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and A Story sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Galatoons ships an update every 2 weeks, A Story every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
