# File Manager vs Locker App

The clearest difference is ads: Locker App at none against File Manager's shown. File Manager's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Manager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Locker App sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

File Manager ships an update weekly, Locker App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
