# Magica vs MasterTracker

The clearest difference is rating: MasterTracker at 5.0 against Magica's 4.1. Magica's advantage is ratings volume (739 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magica sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and MasterTracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MasterTracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magica has 739 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Magica ships an update every 2 weeks, MasterTracker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
