# Lingotune vs Niko Times

The clearest difference is rating: Lingotune at 4.9 against Niko Times's 4.3. Lingotune also leads on ratings volume (60 vs 7). Niko Times's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lingotune sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Niko Times sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lingotune holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lingotune has 60 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lingotune ships an update fortnightly, Niko Times every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
