# Orbit vs Riverstone Connect

The clearest difference is ads: Riverstone Connect at none against Orbit's shown. Riverstone Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Orbit's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Riverstone Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orbit has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Orbit ships an update every 3 days, Riverstone Connect fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
