# PicCollage vs ScanMate

The clearest difference is ratings volume: PicCollage at 931 against ScanMate's 11. ScanMate's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 12%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicCollage sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and ScanMate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for PicCollage against 4.6 for ScanMate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicCollage has 931 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 12% of PicCollage's written reviews are positive against 33% of ScanMate's.

PicCollage ships an update every 3 weeks, ScanMate every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
