# SuperExpat vs EDLI Community

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EDLI Community at none against SuperExpat's 4. SuperExpat's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperExpat sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. EDLI Community asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SuperExpat against 5.0 for EDLI Community. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperExpat has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SuperExpat ships an update fortnightly, EDLI Community every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
