# My Countdown Buddy vs Event Countdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: Event Countdown at every 2 days against My Countdown Buddy's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Countdown Buddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Event Countdown sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
