# WhyPhy vs IchiJi

The clearest difference is rating: WhyPhy at 5.0 against IchiJi's 4.2. WhyPhy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 18.0). IchiJi's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IchiJi sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. WhyPhy asks for nothing beyond the download.

WhyPhy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IchiJi has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
