# SITREP vs Dispatch Radio

The clearest difference is chart position: SITREP at #175 against Dispatch Radio's unranked. Dispatch Radio's advantage is ratings volume (709 vs 131). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SITREP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Dispatch Radio sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dispatch Radio holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dispatch Radio has 709 ratings behind it against 131, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of SITREP's written reviews are positive against 58% of Dispatch Radio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SITREP ships an update every 10 days, Dispatch Radio every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
