# Strongsplit vs Carmona OS

The clearest difference is monetization model: Carmona OS at freemium against Strongsplit's subscription. Carmona OS also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Strongsplit's advantage is ratings volume (78 vs 5) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strongsplit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Carmona OS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strongsplit holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strongsplit has 78 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of Strongsplit's written reviews are positive against 50% of Carmona OS's.

Strongsplit ships an update fortnightly, Carmona OS every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
