# MS vs CertPrep

The clearest difference is update cadence: CertPrep at every 10 days against MS's every 10 months. MS's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CertPrep sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MS ships an update every 10 months, CertPrep every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
