# Fred TV vs IPTV Smart Player

The clearest difference is price: IPTV Smart Player at Free against Fred TV's $3.99. IPTV Smart Player also leads on review sentiment (66% vs 46%) and update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). Fred TV's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 6). On device support there is nothing between them.

IPTV Smart Player is free to download; Fred TV costs $3.99 up front. IPTV Smart Player sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Fred TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fred TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smart Player has 40 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Fred TV's written reviews are positive against 66% of IPTV Smart Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
