# Trill vs StemScriber

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StemScriber at 100% against Trill's 20%. StemScriber also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Trill's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 2) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trill sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and StemScriber sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StemScriber holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trill has 1.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Trill's written reviews are positive against 100% of StemScriber's.

Trill ships an update fortnightly, StemScriber weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
