# Timer vs Vela

The clearest difference is rating: Vela at 5.0 against Timer's 4.0. Vela also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Timer's advantage is ratings volume (4 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Vela sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
