# Timer vs Aesthetic Timer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Timer at none against Aesthetic Timer's 1. Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown). Aesthetic Timer's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price and review sentiment there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aesthetic Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aesthetic Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aesthetic Timer has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Timer ships an update every 7 months, Aesthetic Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
