# RockSnap vs PetValid

The clearest difference is rating: PetValid at 5.0 against RockSnap's 4.1. PetValid also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). RockSnap's advantage is ratings volume (169 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RockSnap sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PetValid sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PetValid holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RockSnap has 169 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RockSnap ships an update every 3 days, PetValid every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
