# iProxy vs avoGate VPN

The clearest difference is rating: avoGate VPN at 4.4 against iProxy's 3.9. avoGate VPN also leads on ratings volume (370 vs 67). iProxy's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 36%) and chart position (#22 vs #144). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

avoGate VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: avoGate VPN has 370 ratings behind it against 67, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of iProxy's written reviews are positive against 36% of avoGate VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iProxy ships an update weekly, avoGate VPN every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
