# DrawMate vs Trace Camera

The clearest difference is update cadence: DrawMate at every 4 days against Trace Camera's every 2 months. DrawMate also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Trace Camera's advantage is ratings volume (210 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrawMate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Trace Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DrawMate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trace Camera has 210 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DrawMate ships an update every 4 days, Trace Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
