# Thea vs Pandanote

The clearest difference is rating: Thea at 4.9 against Pandanote's 4.2. Thea also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 5). Pandanote's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thea sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month and Pandanote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thea holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thea has 2.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Thea's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pandanote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thea ships an update monthly, Pandanote every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
