# Thea vs Periodic Table Ultimate

The clearest difference is update cadence: Periodic Table Ultimate at every 3 days against Thea's monthly. Thea's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thea sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month and Periodic Table Ultimate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Thea against 5.0 for Periodic Table Ultimate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thea has 2.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Thea's written reviews are positive against 100% of Periodic Table Ultimate's.

Thea ships an update monthly, Periodic Table Ultimate every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
