# Thea vs UPDS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UPDS at none against Thea's 2. UPDS also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Thea's advantage is ratings volume (2.5K vs 3) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thea sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month. UPDS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thea holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thea has 2.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
