# Horizontal vs Helix

The clearest difference is update cadence: Horizontal at every 4 days against Helix's fortnightly. Helix's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Horizontal ships an update every 4 days, Helix fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
