# Donetick vs Vikunja Client

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Vikunja Client at none against Donetick's 2. Donetick's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Donetick sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Vikunja Client asks for nothing beyond the download.

Donetick holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Donetick's written reviews are positive against 83% of Vikunja Client's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Donetick ships an update weekly, Vikunja Client monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
