# Donetick vs Chore Check

The clearest difference is rating: Chore Check at 5.0 against Donetick's 4.3. Donetick's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Donetick sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Chore Check sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chore Check holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Donetick has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
