# CatTalk vs Whatever App

The clearest difference is rating: CatTalk at 4.7 against Whatever App's 1.0. CatTalk also leads on ratings volume (704 vs 1). Whatever App's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CatTalk sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Whatever App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CatTalk holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CatTalk has 704 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CatTalk ships an update every 2 months, Whatever App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
