# Chat 5.0 vs AI Chat Assistant

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AI Chat Assistant at 56% against Chat 5.0's 17%. AI Chat Assistant also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Chat 5.0's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.1). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat 5.0 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and AI Chat Assistant sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chat 5.0 holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 651 and 474 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Chat 5.0's written reviews are positive against 56% of AI Chat Assistant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chat 5.0 ships an update every 3 weeks, AI Chat Assistant weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
