# SmartNote vs QR Pro

The clearest difference is ads: SmartNote at none against QR Pro's shown. QR Pro's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 5 days) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and QR Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmartNote ships an update every 5 days, QR Pro daily. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
