# Strainup vs Next Set

The clearest difference is update cadence: Strainup at fortnightly against Next Set's every 2 months. Next Set's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strainup sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Next Set sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strainup ships an update fortnightly, Next Set every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
