# One Joke a Day vs FunCam

The clearest difference is rating: FunCam at 5.0 against One Joke a Day's 4.3. FunCam also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). One Joke a Day's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. One Joke a Day sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and FunCam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FunCam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: One Joke a Day has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

One Joke a Day ships an update every 2 months, FunCam every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
