# Remote Mouse & Keyboard vs Control My Mac

The clearest difference is monetization model: Control My Mac at free with in-app purchases against Remote Mouse & Keyboard's subscription. Control My Mac also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Remote Mouse & Keyboard's advantage is ratings volume (73 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Mouse & Keyboard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Control My Mac sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
