# AI Note Taker vs MagicLight

The clearest difference is rating: MagicLight at 4.6 against AI Note Taker's 4.3. MagicLight also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and MagicLight sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $10.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MagicLight holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 60 and 121 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of AI Note Taker's written reviews are positive against 15% of MagicLight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AI Note Taker ships an update every 2 weeks, MagicLight fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
