# Pro vs NexViewer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NexViewer at 100% against Pro's 30%. NexViewer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.1). Pro's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NexViewer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 30% of Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of NexViewer's.

Pro ships an update every 5 weeks, NexViewer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
