# Arc vs Gymr

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gymr at freemium against Arc's subscription. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arc sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Gymr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Arc ships an update every 4 days, Gymr every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
