# Arc vs Odyssey

The clearest difference is monetization model: Odyssey at free with in-app purchases against Arc's subscription. Odyssey also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (214 vs 13). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arc sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Odyssey sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Odyssey holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Odyssey has 214 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Arc ships an update every 4 days, Odyssey every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
