# DoThisNow vs App Lock

The clearest difference is rating: DoThisNow at 4.2 against App Lock's 1.0. DoThisNow also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DoThisNow sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and App Lock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DoThisNow holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DoThisNow has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DoThisNow ships an update weekly, App Lock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
