# Bible Note vs Bible Widgets

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bible Widgets at freemium against Bible Note's subscription. Bible Widgets also leads on ratings volume (123K vs 24K) and chart position (#9 vs #33). Bible Note's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Note sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Bible Widgets sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Bible Note against 4.9 for Bible Widgets. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Widgets has 123K ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 66% of Bible Note's written reviews are positive against 70% of Bible Widgets's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
