# Bible Note vs Vessel

The clearest difference is monetization model: Vessel at free with in-app purchases against Bible Note's subscription. Bible Note's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Note sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Vessel sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bible Note holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Note has 24K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Bible Note's written reviews are positive against 47% of Vessel's.

Bible Note ships an update every 6 days, Vessel weekly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
