# Rec Room vs TABS

The clearest difference is rating: TABS at 1.6 against Rec Room's 1.0. TABS also leads on ratings volume (141 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Rec Room's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TABS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Rec Room asks for nothing beyond the download.

TABS holds the better App Store score, 1.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TABS has 141 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
